Science - Float or sink?
One of the tasks that Room 12 have worked on lately is the 'Science - Float or sink' project.
In this task, students made predictions about which objects would float or sink, and learnt the meanings of words such as density, mass and volume.
These are just a few screenshots of some students' work.

ReplyDeleteKia ora Room 12,
ReplyDeleteExcellent sharing of your learning. I liked how there were different ways to show your learning.
During your experiments, did anything surprise you?
Well Done Room 12. The best and most fun way to learn science is through whakamātau (experiment).
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could try this whakamātau/experiment with non-Newtonian fluids, such as cornflour/water mixture.
Wow this is fantastic Room 12! This looks like a lot of fun, I must try this experiment for myself. Keep up the hard work guys. Ka Rawe!
ReplyDeleteAl though I didn't do this task, after looking at these amazing float or sink tasks, it makes me want to do one. All of those pictures are amazing and creative!
