Ramadan - Harira
On Monday, Khalid and Jeanne visited our FLE class to speak about Ramadan. They also shared a harira (soup) recipe with us that is Halal. Halal is an Arabic word that means lawful or permitted. With food, it is the dietary standard for all Muslim.
It was a great experience for us, not only learning about Ramadan, and the celebration of Eid, but also learning about how to make harira.

Aren't you lucky to have had Khalid and Jeanne come into your class to make harira! I liked reading your descriptions. The way you have used your senses to describe the soup made me almost able to taste it myself!
